![]() ![]() Some of the scenes could be a little bit shorter so you don’t sit there and wait to long for something to happen. I think the movie is good, but a little bit too long. The story is good and suitable for older people to, there is a real history in this film, which many adults may like. Around thirteen to fifteen, if you are younger you won’t understand it. I belive the movie is aimed towards younger people. When I think back on the movie I think the music helps us understand the situation better, when it is sad there is sad music etc. I don’t really notice the soundtrack when I watch a movie, unless it doesn’t fit at all. The mood in the film is to sad and dark to be a family movie. The violins in this movie are too serious for a child to understand. When I hear the genre family I thing about funny films that everyone can see. It is to violent, and small children won’t understand it. He makes us understand what Oliver is going through. He makes us sympathise with Oliver and we really feel sorry for him. I think Barney does a good job as Oliver. He is the most important character in this story. The main character in this story is Oliver Twist played by Barney Clark, who you can also see in “Savage Grace”. Bill Sykes also do a good job in this movie. You might know Jeremy Swift from “Boy A”. ![]() So I am really happy with his performance.īill Sykes, played by Jeremy Swift is also a very important character in this movie. His character in the film seems so different from whom he is in real life, but he makes it seem so real. First of all you almost can’t recognise him, so the makeup team did an outstanding job on that. You can also see Ben Kingsley in “Schindlers list”. He does everything he can to save the poor boy.įagin, played by Ben Kingsley is one of the main characters in this story. On the way back Bill falls in to a river, and turns up some days later, angry and wanting to kill Oliver. But he is forced in an attempt to worn Mr. Oliver refuses to do as thy say when he finds out it is Mr. One night Bill Sikes, another of Fagin’s friends, takes Oliver with him on a burglary. ![]() Oliver tries to run for the police but is stopped. Brownlow sends Oliver to pay for some books, Nancy, one of Fagin’s friends, pretends that he is her brother and takes him back to Fagin’s lair. Oliver likes it there, and the housekeeper takes good care of him. When the case is cleared and they know Oliver didn’t do it, Mr. Brownlow, the man the other boys stole from. When he fore the first time goes out with some of the boys, he accidently get caught for something he didn’t do.Īt the police station he meets Mr. Fagin takes Oliver in and start to teach him to steal. He takes Oliver to Fagin, who is the trainer of a group of young pocket thieves. In London he meets a young pocket thief named Artful Dodger. He is treated badly and manages to escape. Oliver Twist is an orphan that has to live in a work house, and is later placed with an undertaker. The story is based on Charles Dickens novel “Oliver Twist”. He has had a very hard life, some of it he tries to express in Oliver Twist. He has directed Chinatown, the pianist and so many more.
